SOCIAL HOUSING ROOF MAINTENANCE

Client: Cornwall Housing Ltd/Corserv
Project: Responsive maintenance of various properties using felt and liquid resin systems
We have been working with Cornwall Housing as approved contractors for many years and have a very good working relationship. We are also proud to say we won the 3-year flat roofing framework from Corserv in 2021. We undertake roof refurbishments of varying sizes and varying properties using felt and liquid resin systems.
PARADIGM HOMES PROJECT
Site: High Street, Slough
Client: Paradigm Homes Group Via Churchill Hui
Project: 420m2
A roof refurbishment we completed over Housing Association residential accommodation. A Polyroof Protec warm roof liquid resin system with an anti-slip walkway. The works were completed successfully and to the full satisfaction of the clients who were very grateful we project managed the whole project and dealt with all the other sub-contractors. The clients have now asked us to provide a quote for another large roof at the same site.
NEW ROOFING PROJECT IN SURREY

Project: Newly built residential home
New work to flat roofs and box gutters over residential home using a Polyroof Protec warm roof liquid resin system. The shape of the swimming pool roof was particularly unusual, but the finish looked fantastic. The works were completed successfully and to the full satisfaction of the clients.
THE POPPY FACTORY
Site: Petersham Road, Richmond, Surrey
Client: The Poppy Factory
Project: Refurbish flat roof over factory in two phases
This project was an interesting one in which we overlaid the existing roof using a Polyroof Protec warm roof system including the waterproofing and insulating of very large timber rooflights. The works were completed in two phases, the first phase for Ellmer Construction and the second phase direct with the Poppy Factory. The works were completed successfully and to the full satisfaction of both clients. The clients have now asked us to provide a quote for another large roof at the same site.
FLAT ROOF REFURBISHMENT
Site: Kingston Upon Thames
Client: Roofing Company London
Project: Refurbish existing flat roof using a cut to falls Polyroof Protec liquid resin system to include a Mansafe system and walkway.
This roof was completed successfully on behalf of a Housing Association. We stripped the existing substrate, supplied and fitted bespoke cut to falls insulation and used a Polyroof Protec liquid resin to complete the system. The works also include a Mansafe system for which we installed an anti-slip walkway for safe access.
ROOF REFURBISHMENT
Client: Moto Hospitality Ltd
Project: Roof Refurbishment. Overlay existing flat roof using an Alumasc Caltech liquid resin system.
This project included 5 areas of roof totalling 2000m2. The entire roof area was cleaned down using a fungicidal wash, primed, a silver foiled carrier layer applied and finished with an Alumasc Caltech QC liquid resin. There were also redundant rooflights that were decked over, insulated, and finished in an Alumasc Caltech QC liquid resin. It was completed successfully and to the complete satisfaction of the client who also now has a 20-year manufacturer’s guarantee.

Project: Slough

ROOF OVERLAY
Site: Knutsford
Project: Commercial roof
We overlaid the existing roofs using an Alumasc Caltech liquid resin. It was particularly labour intensive as the roofs were covered in plant equipment but the project was once again completed successfully and the clients were very happy.

Project: Commercial Felt roof and liquid resin refurbishment and repairs
We have used liquid resin and felt to make repairs.
FOOTBALL CLUB ROOF
Site: Cornwall
Project: Commercial roof refurbish for a football club
This contract included 5 flat roofs, 3 of which were corrugated sheeted roofs. All the roofs were overlaid using OSB 3 decking and an IKO felt system. The decking on two of the existing felt roofs was replaced where necessary.
ROOF WORKS CONTRACT
Site: Surrey
Project: Commercial roof refurbished and domestic roof repairs using a Polyroof Protec liquid resin system.
Refurbished various roofs to several domestic housing association properties in Surrey. Entrance porches, link corridors, dormer windows, extensions. Roofing works included stripping existing membranes, re-decking, fitting new fascia and gutter, insulation and liquid resin roofing system.

Project: Commercial flat roof repairs using Liquid Applied Roofing and felt systems applied to various new build projects
The majority are new residential developments on which we have supplied and fitted both Alumasc and IKO felt systems and Polyroof Protec liquid resin systems.
COMMERCIAL PROJECTS

Project: Commercial roof refurbishments
This work is carried out throughout the UK (from Exeter to Cumbria) including complete roof renewals and new work. The systems used have included felt, liquid resin and cladding. Every project completed so far has been successful.
LIQUID APPLIED ROOFING
Site: Shepherd Street, London
Project: Liquid Applied Roofing System (warm roof), various roofs on same development
We were involved in the project from tender stage and in the design of a number of fundamental details and revisions which involved working closely with the main contractor. There were several obstacles to overcome during the works, such as bad weather conditions and awkward access to site, but we worked through this and were told by the main contractor that we were the best 'on-site contractor' on the project.
FLAT ROOF REPAIR
Site: Redruth
Project: Commercial flat roof repair. Overlay existing barrel shaped sheeted roof using an Alumasc felt system.
Overlaid sheeting on a barrel shaped roof using 18mm OSB 3 decking followed by an Alumasc felt system. We utilised the services of a local Structural Engineer to ensure weight loadings were adequate and based on their calculations recommend this overlay system as opposed to stripping of the existing sheeting. This minimised disruption to the occupants and minimised waste which is of course better for the environment.
ROOF RESTORATION
Site: Cranstone & Moor End Lodges, KD Plaza, Cotterells, Hemel Hempstead
Project: Commercial roof restoration for two blocks of flats. We used Liquid Applied Roofing System applied to overlay inverted single ply system to two residential blocks.
The project concerned residential buildings which had to remain fully occupied during the works, with minimal disruption – however, working closely with our approved scaffolding contractor we completed the task in under three weeks which was a big achievement. During that time we erected and dismantled two 30m metre high access platforms. Due to the existing roof being an inverted warm roof system, we had to remove the pebbles and insulation and place these to one side in four separate phases to each block, to expose the waterproof layer which was a single ply system that had failed prematurely. We then applied the Polyroof liquid polyester resin directly on to the single ply and replaced the insulation and pebbles.
